Today is National LEGO Day and I couldn’t pick a better place to celebrate than Disney Springs! The LEGO Store has been a shopping destination for guests of all ages since it opened in 1997 and it’s no wonder it’s so popular. Once you step inside the store, the only limit is your imagination and you can truly build anything from those classic little bricks we know and love.
From collectible playsets inspired by your favorite Disney and Star Wars films to the eye-catching Pick And Build Wall, and hands-on tables filled every color of brick imaginable, it’s a welcome place for kids and adults to be creative together. Although I’ve been working at Walt Disney World Resort for 9 years, a trip to The LEGO Store never gets old for me. I love scanning the walls to look at the incredibly detailed playsets (the LEGO Death Star and the LEGO Disneyland Train set always blows my mind!) If I’m not looking at playsets, I’m searching through the cute and collectible mini figures which capture all the personality of your favorite Disney characters in LEGO brick form.
Not too long ago, The LEGO Store expanded on their mini figure selection and brought the LEGO Minifigure Factory to Disney Springs where you can completely customize your figure from head to toe! The design is completely up to you—start with over 150 templates to choose from for your figure’s torso then finger paint with different brushes, add exciting icons and emojis or even text in different color and fonts. The LEGO Store at Disney Springs is the only place in North America where you can enjoy this experience so it’s definitely on my must-do list when you visit. Wondering how it works?
