It’s Friday afternoon and we’re feeling good! So, we thought now would be the perfect time to launch our newest Diz Planet series – Feel Good Friday!
Feel Good Friday is all about heartwarming and inspirational stories with a Disney Parks touch. From the endless magical moments our cast members make for guests to the giving spirit of our Disney VoluntEARs, we’ll be sharing stories that may just leave you with warm and fuzzy feelings before heading into the weekend.
We’re beginning the series with a group of impressive Central Florida high school students who recently teamed up with parents, friends and the community to raise money to restore their school’s band program after a devastating fire.
The high schooler’s exceptional teamwork and passion to save and rebuild the band program after the unexpected challenge inspired us here at Walt Disney World!
Earlier today, Walt Disney World Resort donated $20,000 to help the band march forward this school year. Check out the moment we (with a little help from our friend, Mickey, of course) surprised the band students, band director and school principal, Julie Robinson-Lueallen!
