Here in Hawaii, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is proud to represent The Walt Disney Company in our community in many ways. Through Disney VoluntEARS service events, collaborations with local nonprofits, donations, and even visits from our beloved Disney friends, we treasure the opportunities to bring joy and a bit of Disney magic to local families.
Recently, our community outreach came together in a very special way with a party themed to “Toy Story 4” for keiki (children) at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu. The party was hosted by Aulani Resort and was made possible by the Disney Team of Heroes initiative. The Walt Disney Company’s signature philanthropic commitment, Disney Team of Heroes delivers comfort and inspiration to seriously ill children around the world.
Here’s a peek at some of the smiles from our visit.
Through Disney Team of Heroes, Kapi‘olani Medical Center receives an annual donation of toys, which coincided with this special visit from “Toy Story” friends Woody and Bo Peep. The duo shared hugs with keiki and their families and posed for photos. Disney VoluntEARS from Aulani Resort organized entertaining games and brought new Disney toys, books and comics for the keiki.
To top off the “toyful”-joyful excitement, families enjoyed a special screening of “Toy Story 4” in the hospital auditorium.
