It’s your last week to enjoy festivities during the Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure park! Experience Asian culture through cuisine, musical performances, family activities and entertainment—from now through Feb. 9.
Enjoy these experiences and celebrate the Year of the Mouse:
See “Hurry Home – Lunar New Year Celebration”: Prior to “World of Color,” this water show tells the heartwarming tale of a little lantern’s quest to reunite with family for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune.
Watch “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession”: A bright and bold parade led by Mulan dedicates the new year’s blessings to family and friendship. As a special treat for the Year of the Mouse, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse join the procession in new celebration attire, while talented performers bring dance, martial arts and drumming to enhance the beautifully colorful procession.
Taste delicious Asian-inspired cuisine: Visit four festive marketplaces to sample a variety of delightful food and beverages inspired by Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures. Favorites include Smoked Beef Bulgogi Shortrib on Rice Cake from Lucky 8 Lantern and Purple Yam Macaron with Crème Fraîche from Red Dragon Spice Traders (check out our Foodie Guide to Lunar New Year). Grab a Sip and Savor Pass, a souvenir credential with six pull-off tabs that can each be traded for one food item or one non-alcoholic beverage at any of the Marketplaces.
Enjoy live entertainment: Live, daily performances by authentic Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese dancers and musicians can be enjoyed throughout Paradise Gardens Park.
Encounter Disney characters: Also in Paradise Gardens Park, some of the most loved Disney characters are festively dressed to usher in the Year of the Mouse while posing for pics, signing autographs and sharing hugs.
Pick up commemorative merchandise: All-new spirit jerseys, bobble-head figures with Chip and Dale, a traditional red envelope set, themed Minnie Mouse ear headbands and more are available at Disney California Adventure park.
Make a wish: At the Lucky Wishing Wall located in Paradise Gardens Park, add their own special message of hope, health and happiness for the upcoming year. Nearby, enjoy complimentary arts and crafts with local artisans, including Chinese calligraphy, dragon’s pearl coloring craft and face painting.
