After taking the podcast world by storm with “The Sporkful,” Dan honed his culinary point-of-view into a very funny and very successful Cooking Channel web series called “You’re Eating It Wrong” – mixing the science of food with a never-ending passion for the perfect bite to form a quirky look at typical fare like pizza, pasta, burgers and tacos. [I still use his method of assembling and eating tacos. It’s a masterpiece!]
In 2014, Dan published a book of recipes and other concoctions that support his eccentric take on ordinary foods called: Eat More Better: How to Make Every Bite More Delicious. He also has been featured on numerous radio and TV shows with his comedic take on food science and how to approach the things we eat with a different spin. And, if that weren’t enough, The Sporkful has also won a James Beard Award for best podcast.
Pashman returns to Walt Disney World this year, bringing his unique take on the food and foodie worlds to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival next week. He’s part of the “Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It” workshop on Monday, Oct. 21 and Thursday, Oct. 24.
We caught up with Dan recently and he talked with us about his life’s journey brought him to culinary and broadcasting success.
The 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs from now to Nov 23, 2019. A culinary mashup of global cultures and gourmet innovation, the Festival brings irresistible bites, sips, entertainment and family fun to Walt Disney World Resort. This year’s Festival will add a dozen extra days, expanding the foodie celebration to a delicious 87 days.
Epcot guests can begin with the aromas and flavors of more than 30 festive global food and beverage destinations that extend from Future World to encircle the World Showcase promenade. Guests also can explore opportunities for special tastings and pairings, plus premium dining events featuring chef personalities.
Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!
“Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!” hands-on workshops on select Mondays and Thursdays through Nov. 14 will offer new opportunities for guests to work side-by-side with visiting chefs, bakers, mixologists and other pros.
Working side-by-side with chefs, beverage experts and other kitchen wizards, attendees can roll up their sleeves for a hands-on lesson that teaches one of many different culinary or beverage skills. Each 75-minute guided, interactive experience offers a multi-sensory smorgasbord—from whipping up sweet treats and savory sensations to exploring cocktails, spirits and wines.
The event is held in the World Showplace Events Pavilion on select Mondays and Thursdays throughout the Festival at 12 p.m. Tickets are $45 per Guest, plus tax; and do not include the price of Epcot admission.
