Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort has tricks and treats for every boo and ghoul. From perfect photo moments to enchanting experiences, here are some ways kids can enjoy the Halloween season at both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park!
Cruise through Radiator Screams and take a spin around Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
If you’re dying to do a spine-tinglin’ twirl, this special Halloween attraction in Disney California Adventure park is a perfect Haul-O-Ween hoedown for kids of all ages. Mater’s haunted hootenanny plays creepy country tunes infused with Halloween spirit, including “Welcome to Radiator Screams,” “Monster Truck Smash” and other frightfully delightful dark ditties. All van-pires and wheel-wolves are welcome to join!
Pit stop and visit the Cars gang in their Halloween car-stumes
The residents of Radiator Screams have not only decorated their homes for the season, but are also donning their Halloween best as they get ready for trunk-or-treating. The resident speedster Lightning McQueen is ready to save the day in his superhero costume while his best friend Mater is sucking up all the Halloween fun as a van-pire. Cruz and Red also get into the Halloween spirit as a pirate and a clown. Every character adds bumper-to-bumper kicks and tricks as kids cruise down Route 66.
Dance it out with favorite Disney villains
Even villains like to get down and boogie after a day of wicked fun. At the Villains Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland park, kids can show off their most dastardly dance moves along with some of Disney’s most evil villains. You never know which villains may stop by!
Feast on fang-tastic treats
To go with all the tricks at the Disneyland Resort, Halloween-themed treats are available at various locations. At Disney California Adventure park, kids can snack on a peanut butter and jelly Mummy Donut from Schmoozies or a S’mores Churro from the churro cart near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Enjoy this churro rolled in graham cracker crumbs and topped with chocolate chips and a marshmallow drizzle. At Disneyland park, the Trick-or-Treat Sundae Duo at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor is a perfect cool-down treat for a beautiful day in the Southern California weather. Throughout the resort, kids can delight in delicious candy, including a Mickey-shaped Spider Web Crispy Treat which is available at Candy Palace and Hunny Spot in Disneyland park, Trolley Treats and Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff at Disney California Adventure park and Marceline’s Confectionery at the Downtown Disney District.
Show off your Halloween spirit with seasonal merchandise
Along with the memories they make at the Disneyland Resort, kids of all ages can be with their best pals Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse every day with a Mickey vampire and Minnie witch plush toy. Kids can show off their Halloween spirit with a “Happy Halloween” t-shirt. Also, kids can light up their trick-or-treating trail with a glow pumpkin spin toy.
Smile and say “pumpkin”
No Halloween season would be complete without pumpkins galore. Head on down to the pumpkin festival on Main Street, U.S.A to see the boo-tiful seasonal décor. Kids won’t be able to do anything but smile as they take in the Halloween spirit surrounding them. Be sure to capture the moment with a picture in front of the enormous Mickey-shaped pumpkin!
Trick-or-treat at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort
If you are staying on property, the three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort offers the full Halloween experience with trick-or-treating fun on select afternoons in October. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will have treat maps of locations, so little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) who are staying at the hotels can make the most of their candy collecting adventures!
